I know I'm really late with this (Lunar New Year) post and seriously almost fail to keep to the New Year resolution that I set - to keep this blog updated. I've been really busy recently with my work, lots of lessons and that my overseas trips are coming soon so I've been using the remaining time preparing (Cough.. And also play league). Ye so anyway, this Lunar New Year is pretty boring and not a very pleasant one for me. How about yours?
(I'm too lazy to make my own collage so most of the pictures here are stolen from Mum)
25th Jan - Went to Chinatown with Mum and ex-colleagues after work. It rained around 12am so the stalls started closing and we didn't really get to shop. There weren't any eateries with 'decent' environment too. So we thought of heading to Bugis for food but there wasn't any MRT even though it says LAST TRAIN (and we tapped in already so rip $1.40 or was it $0.70 lol).. We took a cab to Bugis and settled with Steamboat. Think it is around $22+ per pax. There wasn't much selection and you can only choose either Steamboat or BBQ. Can't remember the name of the shop but it is at the end of the street. Was there till like 2.30am or so? Only reach home around 3am.
And ye. Basically for Lunar New Year Eve, I've prepared Pen Cai without my family knowing so I guess that is one surprise? We have never eaten Pen Cai at home before. The Pen Cai is actually too salty for my liking. Got it at Gim Tim Restaurant at like $198. Also I gave my mum a $888 ang bao so I'm broke now (Dad and sis also have ang bao kkk). The following two days are just visitings like usual and I spent the third chilling at home. Nothing worth going into details to talk about, so here are some pictures taken throughout the days:
